Successes

Steve: A fun, very smart Jindo pup at 5 months was jumping, humping, bolting and not coming. He had a very aloof aura about him with enough ingenuity to do what he wanted when he wanted. In just six classes he was doing at least 13 commands even with distractions. Once he figured out it was fun and inspiring, he loved doing the work.

Poguey: A terrier mix who just loved that chase game when anyone bent down to grab him. The eight years of age allowed him to get very good at profusely barking, bolting and running away when he'd cagily get out the door. The owner was a very good handler and felt she had learned a lot in just a few classes; enough to correct and handle the challenges in the future.

Husky; Jalena jumping a hurdle with trainer KD: A one year old half lab, half retriever came to ACS© for the typical pulling like a tank, not listening when distracted and jumping. After six classes she was coming from 50 feet away, not jumping, knew basic commands and could even handle back, stand, look, puppy push-ups and sit in motion. Continuing with advanced classes the owner & KD passed with flying colors.

Daisy: One of our favorites. Weighing in at about 5 lbs, this little Maltese so happy and full of wanting to please tried training several months elsewhere and still needed the basics. She happily learned and at the end of her classes she made all of us laugh so hard watching her run at full speed towards the owner and sit instantly wherever she was when she heard the command. What a little doll. We miss you Daisy.

Buddy: A cute Cocker one year old with a mind of his own. The first few classes were a bit challenging but once he understood the rules of the game and realized it was fun to work because he got such a big reward at the end of each command he would anxiously come and ask; "whatd'ya want me to do mom?" He passed at 90% and was ready for advanced in no time.

Letters of Recommendations

The following are a few letters of recommendation. We'd love to have you talk with any of our clients.

Jack and I appreciate your loving care and safety you provide our two basset hounds and most of all to us. I know I couldn't do my job well if I didn't know my kids were in good hands. You take the worry and anxiety out of my equation and replace that with feelings of "aahhhh!"

Thank you so much for giving us the tools to communicate with our dog. We really appreciate it. We have learned so much in such a short amount of time with you. We now know what to practice at home to keep our dog happy yet minding us. We will be sure to keep up the practice.

Thanks for taking such good care of our Benji. We're glad he was a good boy and didn't cause any trouble. The obedience training really helped a lot. We would gladly recommend you to all of our friends.

I am so thrilled about Kya going to see Helen at the retirement center. Dogs can be so very important in sick peoples lives. We actually think that Kya is a better dog after being with you for two weeks. I can't put my finger on it but she is more confident, calmer and happier. You did a great job and I thank you for it. I am so glad God has brought us together.

I have been SO nervous about my little Bishon being around other dogs. It was terrifying to think about boarding her anywhere. When I found Allstar Canine I felt like I found of piece of heaven. It still amazes me each time I go to pick her up how she is in amongst several other dogs, large and small, just having a blast. I have complete confidence in CJ to keep her safe and happy while she is there. My dog is not thrown in a cage all day or during the night. I find that when I get her home she just seems to be a more confident dog and not so fearful. I would recommend ACS to anyone…..she truly must love dogs to take them into her home and treat them so lovingly.

We took our black puppy to ACS for some basic training (please stop chewing!). After a few lessons (which were amazingly 1 on 1) the results and behavior of our puppy were noticeably improved. Our puppy now listens, follows commands and corrections were now possible (such as off and no jumping) The training was in 2006 but we continue to kennel her at Allstar whenever we go away on trips. Our puppy absolutely adores it there (she skips on the way from the car) and I think she is a little sad to say goodbye to her canine friends when we pick her up.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Allstar Canine. She truly cares for dogs, enjoys caring for them and treats them like her own. At least that's what our puppy tells us. :)

I took my beagle mix to two different trainers who promised that their methods would work on my dog. I was terribly disappointed and came away feeling like I got ripped off. Frustrated I stayed away from dog training for a while still not knowing what to do with my dogs bad behaviors. Once I met CJ at Allstar Canine I was first blown away that she spent an hour with me on the phone and then after going to just one class I was again just in awe of what I got to learn. It did circles around what the other trainers told me and the stuff she was teaching actually worked! My frustration grew into excitement as I started to feel like I could control my dog. I have used ACS boarding facility many times and my dog just loves to go play there. She comes home tired and happy and just a touch more behaved too. I continue to tell everyone I meet about ACS. If you want one of the biggest distractions to test your dogs stay on….. get him to stay when he knows he can go in the gate to ACS!

Dogs or just animals in general are constantly going through testing for hierarchy. It seems to never end. Even when they seem to have it established more tests will creep up. We can sit in a lawn chair and watch dogs for hours go through this over and over. This is why it is so vitally important to go through the dance yourself. Like we say in class ... if you don't win, who does? There is a very thin line in-between fear and respect from a dog. Training done wrong causes either fear or lack of obedience. Your dog should be thrilled to do what you ask along with sharply doing what you've asked under any circumstances.
